Setting Up a Blog
Okay, my first post to this blog is supposed to be about the process of setting it up. This is not new to me. I had to set up a blog when I was in library school. There is really not much to the process. Once you decide what to call your blog and you pick an address and template, you can start typing. You don't have to know html, which is a plus. I wish there were more templates to choose from, though. It's actually more like working in a word processing program than creating a web page.

I agree that Blogger is very user-friendly and it's nice that you don't have to know html... but it's also nice that you can add your own code (if you do know html) to customize the appearance. If we were to have a blog for the library, this would enable us to give the blog the same feel as the website.
Hi Sarah,
As a marketing ploy, I know that makes sense, but shouldn't blogs be individual not institutional expressions?
Totally. I wonder how you can customize the template? I know there's a way, but just don't know what it is.
